One day, out of the blue, an e-mail popped up in our inbox. It was from Emily who worked for TED and they were looking for a photographer for the TEDActive conference in Whistler. I really thought it was a spam e-mail, but I replied and the next thing I knew the Senior Photo Editor was e-mailing to formally offer me a spot and I was booking a hotel room in Blackcomb Village and texting a friend to see if she would come along for the week, share my room and snowboard all day long. She didn’t say no and on Monday morning I hugged Graeme goodbye and left for one of the most inspiring and exciting weeks of my life.

Photographing the TEDActive events and attendees was a huge joy for me. The TED community is a vibrant, welcoming, innovating, and fun one and I got swept away in it all, documenting the week and these beautiful people with my camera. I took thousands of photos. You can see a few below.
