Ken & Fiona // Wedding

It was a journey to back where it all started: New Zealand.

Ken & Fi met in New Zealand, working together at one of New Zealand’s beautiful national parks.

Ken is from Chi-town. Chicago. Home of deep dish pizza and the Cubs. Fiona is from the rolling, wild-beautiful country of New Zealand. The North Island. Masterton-a town in the country surrounded by loads and loads of sheep and wineries. It was here, that they flew to to tie the knot-all the way from Vancouver, Canada.

It was an incredible day. The whole wedding took place at Brackenridge Country Estate in Martinborough. It was hiking in the morning, local wine & beer, scattered clouds, and a chance of rain (but it didn’t, really). The sheep in the paddock gathered nearby to watch Ken & Fi’s ceremony and there was a lot of laughter all day long. We remember them saying that they wanted a Forrest Gump wedding. A laid-back, meaningful, personal, feet-in-the-grass kind of day.

We had such an incredible time photographing Ken & Fi’s wedding in the Wairarapa and their Oceanside engagement at Castlepoint just a few days before. Enjoy!
