Golden Hour
We photographed so many amazing people this past summer. It’s hard posting one photograph here, two photographs there as we’re busy editing all that goodness. Soon, you’ll get to see all the love that we’ve seen, all the sunsets, all the tears, all the wild dancing. Flowers and champagne and craft beer and grandmas and grandpas and handmade things and smiles between best friends.
Until then, here’s a frame from Julia & Amiel’s sunset photos in the mountains. They gave us twenty minutes as the sun dipped over the ridge behind us. Twenty minutes of the best light. Twenty minutes to breathe, to share some quiet moments as newlyweds. Twenty minutes that allowed us to create the best sunset portraits we ever have. We can’t wait to show more, so keep an eye out in the coming months as we start rolling out these bad boys.
There’s gonna be a lot of love to share here, soon.
As we move forward into 2015, we’re going to be working with all of our couples to create space on the wedding day to make incredible photographs like these-to craft timelines that allow for breathing in the midst of one of the most whirlwind days of their lives. Being able to create photographs in stunning spots like this of the nicest and kindest people who have welcomed us into their lives not just as vendors, but as friends-that is what our hearts beat for.
We’re not the kind of photographers that just show up on your day and slip out at the end of it. We’ll invite you into our lives, we’ll want to hear all about your story, we’ll hug you, we’ll send you presents, we’ll drink beer and wine together, and we’ll laugh and cry with you when the big day comes. We pour our heart and soul into this work, this life. We work with people who are reciprocating that spirit: people who welcome us into their lives too; people who e-mail us with a story about their love, not just a question about pricing. Why? Because we do our best work for people we love, for couples who trust us and love what we’re doing, and we’re not going to give you any less than our best. If this sounds like something you want for your day and for the beginning of your journey as a married couple, we want to hear from you. Let’s be friends. Let’s make some magic together.
