We met, at the age of 10 at a local craft fair - how very rock & roll. Lauren was with her Mum on a stall selling homemade things and James had been dragged along by his mum “just for 5 minutes” and it was love across a crowded room! Well, almost, our Mums knew each other and as they discussed decoupage and paint effects, we talked Thundercats and school friends.

Lauren & James wanted to celebrate their wedding somewhere in the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Bodega Ridge on Galiano Island was the perfect pick for their celebrations. Married on a Tuesday (just like us!), surrounded by log cabins, Arbutus trees, and the loveliest friends and family. You can really see the amazing connections they have with their loved ones in these photos—those moments are always the ones we love to photograph the most.

They’re a creative art-loving couple, and their wedding reflects this. We had some fun playing with smoke bombs (as a nod to James’ work in special effect for films… so cool), they had THE BEST ceremony exit with tons of pressed-flower confetti, and we took some pretty incredible photos under the stars. There were cookies for dessert, a live Jazz trio, a flower crown, a custom wedding gown, and tons of joy. It was the perfect day.
